From the Greek "Monos" meaning alone and "Logos" meaning speech: An oral presentation given by a single character to express their personal collection of thoughts and ideas.
According to my research; monologues are what actors look for when they read plays... Thus, I now offer a monologue page on my website filled with free play scripts. I am going through each of my shows and pulling out snippets of my favorite monologues and posting them here. In real life I'm not used to stating more than a couple of sentences before being interrupted, and my writing reflects that. This page however, will be filled with the few monologues I have written.
